Power Line Noise Filters

Conductive Noise can divide Normal Mode Noise and Common Mode Noise. Normal mode noise come into power line as Transient, Impulse etc. and going and returning between Line and Neutral.
Common mode noise means the noise which come into from power line go through Earth (Ground) or move to reverse side (from Ground to power line).
Most of normal mode noise occur in short time and disappear. It makes error of device and effect to electrical transmission data.
Common mode noise can be affect to memory device and system, logic circuit based on ground electric potential or electric device which adopt the logic circuit.
So EMI/RFI noise filter should have right circuit to filter these two kinds of noise and designed according to the range of frequency.

What is Noise?
All electrical / electronic factors that interfere with the system unnecessary energy generated around the conductor in which a current flows is the electromagnetic noise.
Thus generated noise is transferred to another device, causing performance degradation or malfunction.
